Using Images to Drive Learning in the Young Learner Classroom
There are many reasons to use images in the language learning classroom, not least of which is the positive impact they can have on learning. With examples from National Geographic Learning’s Wonderful World series, in this session, we’ll explore different ways in which we can use images to drive language learning, whilst developing the communicative and cognitive skills of our young learners.

About the presenters:
Alex Warren is a DELTA-trained teacher trainer with over 18 years of experience working in ELT as a teacher, trainer. and academic director. He has presented and run workshops and webinars on a wide range of topics in over 35 countries throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. Alex is currently the Senior ELT Academic Consultant for National Geographic Learning.
Sonia Jordana is a qualified English teacher and translator, with over 20 years of experience in ELT. She provides digital training and onboarding support for large institutions and ensures the smooth implementation of digital solutions.
Ellen Setterfield has over 14 years experience of working with children and teenagers within the ELT industry. She has taught and trained teachers across Europe and North Africa and is passionate about helping Young Learners use English to understand the world around them.
